Benefits of Vibroacoustic Therapy
Somatic therapy can help rewire the brain's neural pathways. It gets you out of survival mode and into a conscious state of emotional balance. Somatic therapy uses mind-body techniques to release the pent-up tension that's weighing on your emotional and physical well-being. By releasing former trauma trapped in the nervous system and reconnecting the mind and the body, the overreaction, anxiety, and hyper-vigilance will diminish, allowing a person to rest in the here and now. This state is known as homeostasis–the body’s natural, optimal resting state when it is free from perceived danger and able to carry on with normal, healthy physical processing.
Brainspotting therapy is a type of alternative therapy that uses spots in a person’s visual field to help them process trauma. It accesses trauma trapped in the subcortical brain, the area of the brain responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning.
